Students are required to demonstrate their knowledge of the data analysis concepts and techniques in the context of a focused project. The project should focus on a data mining problem involving the analysis of one or more data sets and the application of statistical learning and data analysis methods using WEKA data analysis software application.  
To do: 
Search for a dataset and study it, filter the data, test algorithms by analyzing the data, interpret the results, this will give you a very good sense of application of statistics in data analysis work. There are many websites from where you can get a dataset, such as Quandl, UCI ML repository, ncbi, etc.
