The final assignment will consist of a term paper that will allow students to delve deep how knowledge management processes can help businesses keep the

innovative edge, that will allow them to survive and thrive in the knowledge age.

• QUESTION: In the knowledge and globalized age, where information and knowledge is not anyone’s monopoly, businesses have to compete for every

dollar and keep innovating at a rapid pace – as whatever product or services they provide can be easily replicated. We have witnessed great numbers

of businesses being disrupted by new-commers in almost every sector. Furthermore, today, competition is also cross sectors (eg: Google for

autonomous driving). Therefore, how can businesses survive and thrive in this competition for innovation in a world where everything can be copied?

How does knowledge management help in this (innovative) process?

The assessment seeks to:

o Critically assess the the need for businesses to keep innovating
o Apply the priciples and theories of knowledge management in the innovative processes
o Analyse what makes certain businesses adapt to the realities of the knowledge age.
