TASK DETAILS:
Students will be required to seek a company of their own choice, preferably one that has a medium to large HR section in order to complete the set tasks successfully. During the interview that should be conducted with a senior HR person, the student should determine the following to complete the parts of this assessment:
PART A
1. What is the current status of the organization with view of how many staff they employ and what departments or divisions the company has presently? (SLO1 – 4 marks)
2. You should identify what the future needs of the organization are, with the view for staffing and what those positions are. (SLO1 – 4 marks)
Once you have conducted the interview with your selected company, and the HR manager has provided you with the necessary information you are required to complete a report that outlines what the current status of the organization is and identify the future needs. The student should also obtain information in relation to the company so that this will assist them in future assessments within this unit, namely selection staff training and induction of new recruits.
PART B
1. You are required to write a Position Description for one of the available positions in the Company that you interviewed. This should follow the structure provided as set out in Template A (Available on myLMS). (SLO3 – 4 marks)
2. You are also required to complete a Person Specification for an available position, one that follows the instruction for Competency Profiling as set out in Template B (Available on myLMS). (SLO3 – 4 marks)

INTRODUCTION
Ooredoo QSC is an international telecommunications corporation that provides wireless, content services, mobile, wireline, and other services with the market share in the international and domestic telecommunications markets, and in residential and business markets. The Company was the first operator to launch the 5G services in Qatar and is also the largest telecommunications firm in the world. The Company operates its operations in many countries. The Company also developed strong participation with Nokia in 2010 and the firm broadened its operations. During the interview conducted with the senior HR position the current status, the future needs, and the description of the position are analyzed.

1. Current Status
Ooredoo is committed to enable the emerging economies’ development, businesses, help customers, and are fulfilling their transformation goals. The Company has commercially launched the 5G networks. The Company also provides an entrepreneur program for youth. The company accessibility of services is increasing and the Company is highly engaged in social media and doing its operations effectively. Education shapes the leaders of tomorrow so the Company is doing its best to provide the basic skills to the young individuals. The Company is building a talent management program and strategies to focus on leadership development and creating a common language to develop talent. Students are required to use the company (of their own choice) they previously interviewed for assessment 1.
The students were required to obtain information in relation to the company so that this will assist them in this assessment. The students should have identified what the future needs of the organization were.
Now they are to choose a selection panel for recruiting for this position (that was previously identified). Therefore, the students are now required to create a small training presentation for those selected to work on the panel.
Task/Exercise 1: Develop a PowerPoint that will be used for all members of the selection panel. This should be complete so that the staff all have clear indication of what is required for them to complete their task and assist the organization in recruiting the correct staff.
