Please see the attachment, research topic is attached with references.
Instructions
This week, you will draw on your references gathered during this course, and any other references from other courses related to the topic of your research review, to compile an annotated bibliography. Be sure to make use of your new note-taking skills when preparing the information in the annotated bibliography and follow APA form and style in preparing the bibliographic information. Include a title page indicating the topic of the assignment; but beyond that, there is no need for an introduction or a conclusion, as annotations have a unique style of their own. Use the framework of headings outlined this week. The headings should be bolded, and the annotations need to be double-spaced.
Your annotated bibliography should include at least three entries following the four-part outline provided this week. These would be bolded and on the left margin. Use the suggested template to help with the assignment.
Type and Purpose
Methodology
Findings and Conclusions
Evaluation
Length: Each annotation should be 300-500 words or 1–1.5 pages; total length for three annotations would be 3-5 pages, double-spaced.
References: Include a minimum of 3 peer-reviewed scholarly resources

Introduction

Language development is one of the best topics when dealing with children. In early childhood education, it is one of the hottest subjects because it is focused on the ability of a child to learn and understand language. (Nahdi & Yunitasari, 2019). Language development is the process of learning a language. This includes understanding, processing, and producing it. The reason why children are taught language development is for purposes of communicating. Usually, when an infant cannot speak of talk unless if taught. Language is the only technique used to share in the ordinary biosphere, which can transfer a lot of information within the shortest period. At first, children can start with one or two words but eventually be tremendous in production and pronunciation. This paper discusses the language development topic and its relation to language skills, language delay, and language acquisition stages.

Selecting the focus topic

During selecting a focus topic, one is faced with numerous challenges, including choosing a topic that is not complex. Selecting or choosing a focus topic isn’t an easy task because everyone is, at times, so familiar with a lot of issues. There needs a strategic way to get a focus topic. I had to pick a topic that I already had a taste for and a subject that I would write about openly. Most cases are complex, and it’s hard to write anything concerning them. I choose the language development topic because it is always interesting to me. The subject of language development is an interesting one. Before I began my writing, I had to make sure that the topic was relevant and worthy of the paper.
Language development is a topic that carries a lot of meaning, especially when writing about it; it’s easier to relate things learned in class and what to put on paper. I had to brainstorm concepts after choosing the topic so that I would land on appropriate subtopics. Some of the subtopics I landed on are closely related to the main issue. Also, I made some background search and read peer-reviewed articles that acquainted me with information based on the topic. This is where I got the idea of the existing subtopics. After getting some of these subtopics, I developed a research question. The research question was based on what impact language development has on children, and I started doing some in-depth research about the language development topic.

Language Development

Language development is my chosen topic, and it is an interesting one, given that no one is born with speaking and writing skills. These are skills taught at school, and they start at the lower levels. As the topic states, it is based on language and developing the language. In language development, there are grammar rules which are worth understanding (Sudrajat, 2018). Children will know a few words during their first school days, and they will try speaking them out, and the tutor has to take control and help children understand the meaning of these words and use them to converse. This topic cannot be shown a blind eye, mostly because it is the first step of learning how to use language correctly.

Language Skills

The English language consists of many words, and many of these words are used in conversations. Well, kids will know a few of the terms, and so the teacher must guide kids on how to pronounce the words and put them into use. Language skills include the ability to converse or engage in conversations, recognize, and express feelings (Sudrajat, 2018). It is one of the most subtopics that needs focusing on when teaching language development. With skills of language, a child can easily engage its brain to think and mount relationships. As a way of having language skills, a child must first develop language. This is how the two relate. Language skills include the act of reading, where one can view words and state what they mean, speaking, which consists of the front of pronouncing out words in a proper manner, and writing, which entails putting words on paper properly.

Language Delay

Language delay involves acts of failing to develop language skills during an appropriate time in the development stage. Some children can have this problem, especially those at the age of two years. Language delay is a subtopic under language development because it is concerned with children learning how to process and understand the language, but eventually, they fail to do so (Yasin et al., 2017). At times, teachers can help kids with this problem to cope up with this problem. The issue of language delay is a result of intellectual disability. Some children learn how to use words after others have caught up.

Language acquisition stages

Many children use non-verbal communication techniques, such as gestures and facial expressions to communicate (Nahdi & Yunitasari, 2019). Toddlers use the crying expression to signify something. There are different stages under language development, and these stages are crucial to understanding communication modes for other children of different ages. For instance, a seven-year-month child can put words together and try pronouncing them. When learning and reading on the language development topic, it is worth considering the six stages of acquisition.

Conclusion

Language development is a topic based on knowing how to use language appropriately and efficiently. Everyone must know how to read, speak, and write at an early stage. With these features, it is easier to communicate and interact with others. This is why language development is one of the essential topics tutors and students focus on.
