Specific Goal: To convince my audience global warming is a clear and present danger
Introduction
A- Attention Getter: Imagine each one of us in school, has killed at least one marine animal through the plastic bags that we disposed in our garbage. How many more are we all targeting to kill because we have refused to recycle our plastic bags? Marine animals end up thinking plastic bags are sea plants, feed on them and later on die.
B- Listenerics: It is unquestionable fact that global warming has become a major problem and risk to humans and thus needs to addressed as soon as possible. With the environmental sustainability problems and interruption of ecosystem balance, the change of climate is unavoidable and are deadly.
C- Speaker Credibility: I have seen plastic material affect the growth of aquatic plants and kill aquatic animals. Also, from Leonardo DiCaprio 2016 “Before the Flood” documentary, it’s clear action is needed as soon as possible.
D- Thesis: Global warming possess a great danger to the world and people should strive to curb its consequences before it is too late.

Global warming is becoming widespread and its consequences are fatal
Examples 1: This is through rising sea levels after the warming of surface temperature. Consequently, the glaciers melting ice is bringing dangerous storms and severe heats to human race and animals which shows global warming has dangerous consequence.
Example 2:
I. The poorest countries such as Africa are at a great danger. According to Dincer, Colpan, & Kadioglu, (2013). they depend on rain for agriculture and they have access to proper sanitation facilities.
II. Wildfires and air pollution from greenhouse gas such as carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, methane are increasing which burn solar energy and keeping heat close to earth.
III. Spread of infectious diseases and pandemics are becoming prevalent such as malaria, respiratory and cardiovascular (Dincer, Colpan, & Kadioglu, 2013).
Examples1: Human beings are the cause of global warming through their ignorant activities such as emission of harmful gases to the environment, thus change begins with them.
Example 2:
i. Forego fossil fuels- Burning natural gas, coal, oil are major causes of global warming. Alternatives such as wind fuel, biodiesel can help (Dincer, Colpan, & Kadioglu, 2013).
ii. Consume less-Buying less such as using reusable grocery sack, forgoing automobile will help reduce greenhouse gases.
iii. Stopping of cutting down trees which leads to deforestation can help stop cause climate change.(Body 3):
Example:
I. Reduced emission of greenhouse gases will reduce burning of solar energy and keeping heat away from earth.
II. Stopping the cutting down of trees will help in storage of carbon dioxide and increase vegetation due to reduced terrain.
III. Consuming of less plastic will help save marine animals affected by plastics disposed by humans.
Action (Conclusion):
Global warming has dangerous consequences to the environment. According to Leonardo DiCaprio, his is the time to address this challenge and make history instead of being vilified by it (Meza, Shapiro,& Park, 2018). Therefore, I ask each and every one of us to act responsible and do their part for this is affecting us all rather than end with we wish we knew.
