DescriptionIssue Brief Project Phases
There are four phases to this project assignment.
Phase 1 – Select Topic and Begin Research/DevelopmentStudent will discuss and propose issue topics in Canvas discussion by due dateYour Instructor will approve the final topic, as he is a resource to the assignment.Student will begin supportive research on the issue for each five sections of the issue brief (Issue, Background, Rationale, Recommendations, References)Phase 2 – Create Issue Brief Document Using Required Template
Students will create the Issue Brief document. A template is provided
here. You can develop your draft of the document in the Canvas workspace using the Pages/Wiki application, if desired.
Post the final version of your Issue Brief in the Assignment dropbox for grading by the due date.
Phase 3 – Develop Presentation Recording
Student will develop a formal presentation based on the Issue Brief document submitted. It should include the five points of the structure of the document: Issue, Background, Rationale, Recommendations and References. The presentation itself may be produced in a presentation software (PowerPoint, Google Presentation, video), The presentation should be a maximum of 10-15 minutes per students. Student groups will be able to do their presentation using voice-over PowerPoint slides, or other presentation method with voice-over.
Presentation will be uploaded to the dropbox by the due date to avoid a late penalty.
Phase 4 – Project Commentary
Each student will complete a brief personal commentary about what was learned, how it relates to their chosen health profession and/or personal application, and other aspects of the project. You will post to the respective dropbox Individual Commentary dropbox (1 to 2 pages, double-spaced).
