I do believe that personality tests can be used as a bonding tool with employees, and some people think that it’s a way of controlling employees to getting the ones that will listen and not question authority, and so on. In my experience, and I have worked with many different people, especially in my years in retail; where knowing what type of personality someone had come in handy to be able to know who can handle customers, who can handle complaints and who should maybe focus on the back end work and not do much of the interaction with customers. Having teams can be a challenge also, therefore knowing the types of personalities that will be within a team, or assembling a team after learning a bit about them will make the team more efficient as well as an overall better experience for everyone. While there are some people that will be the instigator or even the troublemaker, it’s important to separate those so there are no greater problems or so that work simply is completed. Also from a management point of new, it’s nice to know which people you can joke around with, what people’s limits are, and which people to keep things strictly professional with; the more ways and information that you have about employees, their qualities and how they work, the better you can establish teams and workload among all to make things fair
