The University of San Diego will enhance and advance my educational and professional goals through equipping me with practical skills and knowledge that I can apply at work place after graduation. For example, I believe it will help me sharpen my mathematical skills as compared to my previous university, improve my technical skills, problem solving skills as well as well as leadership and ability to work as a team. I would address the income inequality issue. This is because it is a rising concern in the current world. The income gap between the rich and the poor has been growing markedly over the last 30 years. With the current income inequality, it shows there is lack of income mobility and opportunity which shows there is a persistent disadvantage in some society segments. However, some inequalities are good because they allow people to compete, save, excel, invest, become innovators and entrepreneurs. On the contrary, when it becomes too unhealthy such as income inequality rising from unequal opportunities, it can lead to large social costs. Also if inequality of outcome takes place, it can significantly undermine a person’s occupation and educational choices. This however has been the two most source of income inequalities facing the world currently. Addressing the issue is important because if not, the inequality will continue to widen which will have significant implication on macroeconomic stability and growth, result to widespread disparity in areas such as education, opportunity choices and health care, make the decision making and political power to revolve around specific rich individuals resulting misuse of human resources and economic instability. Addressing this issue would help in explaining why policy makers need to focus on middle class people and the poor because it matters for economic growth and income equality.

When I went to Grossmont Community College, my aim was to get credits so I can transfer to University of San Diego since without this I could not make it. When I got accepted, it taught me a lot such as being responsible since I had to move away from my parents which was not an easy move. This forced me to step up and start taking care of my life. However, with time and experience I got used to it, and I have come to learn that responsibility does not come by birth it is something people acquire as they age, attend school and progress in life. However, someone’s sense of responsibility can develop from experience.
